Install Brightspace Capture Encoder

Before installing the new Brightspace Capture Encoder, ensure previous versions of Brightspace Capture Encoder, Brightspace CapturePublishing Service, and Brightspace Capture Toolbox are uninstalled. Brightspace Capture Encoder 8.0 and newer contain a built-in publishing service. The video upload option for non-Capture video files is now built into the Brightspace Capture Portal / Brightspace Capture Central.

Note: Ensure that all previous recordings are published prior to upgrading to Brightspace Capture 9.0. It is not possible to publish any of these prior recordings once Brightspace Capture has been upgraded.

1. Download your copy of Brightspace Capture Encoder as instructed by your organization’s administrator.
2. Open the Brightspace Capture Installer Setup wizard and complete the instructions.
3. Click Close.
