Publish a CaptureCast presentation

Once you complete a live webcast or an offline recording, you can publish the CaptureCast presentation to Brightspace Capture Portal or Brightspace Capture Central. If you are publishing to Brightspace Capture Central, you can only perform post-production editing in Brightspace Capture Central. On-demand viewing is only available if a presentation is embedded in Brightspace Learning Environment course content.
Before you begin: You must have a network connection between Brightspace Capture Software or Brightspace Capture Station and your Brightspace Capture Portal or Brightspace Capture Central to successfully publish presentations. If you do not have a network connection, clicking Publish results in an error.
- On the main Brightspace Capture Encoder screen, click
Publish.
- From the Event drop-down list, select the presentation you want to publish.
- From the Folder drop-down list, select where you want to publish your presentation to.
Some folder options you see might be password protected or belong to other Brightspace Capture users. Contact your Brightspace Capture administrator if you are unsure which folder you should publish your presentations to. - Do any of the following:
- If you want to log out of your session while your presentation continues to publish to Brightspace Capture Portal, select the Queue for Publishing check box.
- To view your presentation before publishing, click Preview.
- Click
Publish.
- If an End User License Agreement appears, choose to accept it or not accept it, then click OK.
- After the upload completes, do either of the following:
- To immediately see the published presentation, click View on Portal.
- To continue, click OK.
- In the Clean up event? dialog, do either of the following:
- To remove the presentation from the list of presentations available for future publishing from Brightspace Capture Encoder, select Yes.
- To keep the presentation on the computer and have it available for future publishing from Brightspace Capture Encoder (this is useful if you have multiple portals you want to publish the presentation to), select No.
