Record an offline presentation

If you do not have access to a network or you are creating a presentation that does not require a live stream, you can record a presentation offline and store it on your local hard drive for future publishing to Brightspace Capture Portal or Brightspace Capture Central.
- On the main Brightspace Capture Encoder screen, click
Record.
- In the text field, enter a title for your presentation.
- Select a presentation layout.
- Click Continue.
- Do any of the following:
- To share your desktop as screenshots, click Capture Screen (Image Mode).
- To share your desktop in continuous video, click Capture Screen (Video Mode).
Note: The capture screen options are unavailable if your event is preset to record in automated mode.
- To begin recording, click
Start. You can click the
Pause icon during the recording. To resume recording, click the
Restart icon. To add the next video to the session playlist, click
Continue.
- When you are finished recording, click
Stop.
Note: If you clickStop during a recording, the recording is finished. If you click
Start after clicking
Stop, your current recording is overwritten.
- Click Finish.
