Assess assignments with grade schemes
You can associate a select box grade item to an assignment, allowing you to evaluate assignment submissions directly with a grade scheme, rather than inputting a numeric value directly.

- Navigate to Assignments.
- Click New Assignment, enter a Name and any instructions.
- Under Evaluation and Feedback, click New Grade Item.
- From the Choose a Grade Item Type options, click Selectbox.
- Enter a Score Out Of, along with any additional evaluation and feedback information, and restrictions.
- Click Save and Close.
- When evaluating submissions for the assignment, click the Score dropdown menu and choose an option from your grade scheme, for example, A+, B-, etc.
Note: An Organizational or course level grade scheme must exist prior to creating your grade item.

- Navigate to Assignments.
- On the Assignments page, click New Assignment.
- Enter a Name for the assignment and any Instructions.
- Under Grade Out Of, click Ungraded.
- Click In Gradebook, and then select Edit or Link to Existing.
-
