Align outcomes to assignments

You can import Learning Outcomes into Lessons, allowing you to align outcomes to assignments, and use levels of achievement to evaluate learner submissions.

  1. Create a new assignment, or edit an existing assignment, and select the Standards tab.
  2. Click Add Standards.
  3. All existing learning outcomes that you imported into your course from Lessons display.
  4. Select check boxes for the learning outcomes you want to align to the current assignment, and click Add.
  5. Verify that the correct learning outcomes display on the Standards tab.
  6. Click Close.

Note: The Standards tab may also be labeled as Competencies, Expectations, Objectives, or Outcomes. Learning Outcome functionality can only be used if Standards have been imported into a course using Lessons. Learning Outcomes are not compatible with Competencies and Learning Objectives; when Learning Outcomes are associated with a course, the ability to use Learning Objectives in Assignments is not available.
