The easiest way to add metadata to a resource is to enter it manually into Learning Environment.
Note If you want to use a template, import metadata, or copy metadata from another resource, do so before manually entering data. Any data you enter manually is erased when you apply existing metadata from another source.
In some fields, you may need to enter more than one value; for example, if a resource has multiple keywords or multiple authors/contributors.
In the basic interface, if a field accepts multiple values, it is listed multiple times.
In the advanced interface, you can manually add additional values to a field and then enter data for the additional values. Each value can have multiple translations in different languages.
On the Edit Metadata page for the module or topic you want to add additional metadata to, click the name of a field to open its context menu. You can then click:
Note Not all fields have the ability to add additional metadata.
You can clear all metadata for the current view and any metadata entered through other views that have the same base view. For example, if a resource has metadata based on IEEE LOM as well as metadata based on Dublin Core, and you clear metadata through a view based on Dublin Core, the IEEE LOM-based metadata remains. Alternately, you can clear metadata from specific fields.
On the Edit Metadata page for the module or topic you want to modify, click Clear Metadata.
On the Edit Metadata page for the module or topic you want to modify, click Clear this item from the context menu of the field you want to clear.
In some metadata fields, you can enter more than one value. This is also known as multiplicity. See Add additional metadata to a resource (advanced interface only) for more information. You can only remove multiplicity metadata fields.
On the Edit Metadata page for the module or topic you want to modify, click Remove this item from the context menu of the field you want to remove.
