Viewing LOR Event Logs
LOR Event Logs enable you to view information on a specific activity
for a single learning object or file. You can choose the information
to include in the log. Event logs record the usage of the learning
object or file. For example, event logs record the number of people
who have searched it, viewed it, linked to it, etc. You can use this
to decide if you want to incorporate the learning object or file
into your content.
Note This information
is available through the reporting
tool.
The log records:
- Events, which are actions performed on the learning object
or file
- Link creation
- Searches and retrievals
- Accesses by link
- Publication
- Changes in visibility of a learning object or file
- Movement of a learning object or file from one LOR to another
- Changes in status
- New and deleted reviews
- Information about the targeted learning object or file
- User details (i.e., who performed the action)
- The Org Unit Name and Org Unit ID of the Org Unit containing
the learning object or file
View the Event Log
- Search for the learning object or file whose event log you
want to view.
- Click Open from the learning object's context menu.
- Click View Event Log from the More Actions button.
- To view all the event logs relating to the learning object
or file, leave the Search For field
blank. To show specific events, click Show Search Options and select particular events to limt your search.
- Click the Search icon.
Note You can change
the sort order of the results by clicking on the column headers.
Change the columns that are displayed
in the event log
- On the Event Log page, click Display Options.
- Select the column options you want to display, or clear those you don’t.
- Click Save.
