You can share CaptureCast presentations outside Capture Portal or Capture Central by copying and pasting their URL and embed codes. In Capture Portal or Capture Central, click on a live event in Manage Live Events or click on a published presentation in Manage Presentations. Expand the Sharing section and use the Embed or URL information to share the presentation.
Important If you are using Capture Software from your personal computer, your Capture Software should be configured with your Learning Environment credentials to generate a Capture username and password in the initial software setup (see Set up a connection between Capture Software and Learning Environment for more information). You must have this configuration set up to view and manage your CaptureCast presentations in Capture Central, and embed your CaptureCast presentations with HTML Editor's Insert Stuff option.
Ensure DOME variables d2l.Tools.Capture.PortalUrl and d2l.Tools.Capture.PortalId are pointing to your Capture Portal URL and Capture Portal ID, respectively. Also, check that your Capture Portal username is the value set for d2l.Tools.Capture.PortalAdminUsername, and your Capture Portal password is the value set for d2l.Tools.Capture.PortalAdminPassword.
By default, within Capture Central's Access Control, you are assigned the "Can View and Manage" permission for each live event and published presentation you create. You must have "Can View and Manage" access control in Capture Central to search and insert CaptureCast presentations into your Learning Environment course content.
Note Learning Environment continues to support CaptureCast presentations created in Capture 7.4 or older that were embedded based on org unit tagging.
Tip If you want to include a CaptureCast presentation as a topic in Content, create a New Document in the Content tool and enter a title that indicates it is a CaptureCast presentation topic.
Note Contact your administrator if you do not see your presentation in the list of presentations available.
