Creating and managing quiz categories

You can organize quizzes into categories to make it easier to find assessments with similar or related content. Create, edit, reorder, and delete multiple categories at the same time.

Create a category

1. On the Manage Quizzes page, click Edit Categories.
2. Click Add Category.
3. Enter a name into the Name field. "New Category" is the default name.
4. Click Save.

Edit a category

1. On the Manage Quizzes page, click Edit Categories.
2. You can make changes to category names by editing the Name field.
3. Click Save.

Reorder categories

Change the order of categories that display on the Quizzes List page.

Note  Quizzes under "Without Category" will always be at the top of the list.

1. On the Manage Quizzes page, click Edit Categories.
2. Starting with "1", enter the order you want to display the categories in the Sort Order field. You can click Sort Order to sort categories in ascending or descending order.
3. Click Save.

Delete a category

1. On the Manage Quizzes page, click Edit Categories.
2. Select the check box beside each category you want to delete.
3. Click the Delete categories icon.
