Using LiveRoom in a course
LiveRoom is an interactive environment for communicating and sharing resources in real-time. LiveRoom is designed to simulate a physical classroom, by providing chat rooms where you can hold discussions; conduct presentations; upload, share and annotate files; create drawings and equations; and browse to web resources.
Here are some examples of the kinds of learning experiences LiveRoom enables:
- Create chat rooms where members can send and receive both public and private messages.
- Create moderated rooms where you can control user's participation and monitor questions.
- Use a canvas to create drawings; upload, share and annotate files; view and annotate web pages; show presentations and other learning materials; and integrate with Learning Environment tools.
- Restrict access to the canvas so that you have control over when users are reading and listening to materials and when they are participating and demonstrating their learning.
- Use communication tools to respond to users' questions and monitor their understanding.
- Review past sessions and make past sessions available to participants.
