Retrieving learning objects to Content with their navigation intact

You can retrieve learning objects into Content and retain the relation of topics to each other and their place in modules. There are two primary ways to retrieve learning objects into your course offering:

From Manage Content page

  1. Click Add Learning Object.
  2. Perform a search to find the learning object you want.
  3. Click the radio button for the learning object you want to retrieve.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select the way you want to import the learning object: dynamic link, locked link, or import.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select a parent module from the drop-down list, or select None.
  8. If you are importing the course files, and the destination folder listed is not the one you want, click Browse to select a new folder.
  9. Click Import/Create Link.

From Manage Course

  1. From the last step of creating a course offering click Import from Learning Object Repository.
  2. Perform a search to find the learning object you want.
  3. Click the retrieve_object Retrieve Object icon for the learning object you want to retrieve.
  4. Click the link in the Content area for the way you want to import the learning object: dynamic link, locked link, or import.
  5. Select a parent module from the drop-down list, or select None.
  6. If you are importing the course files, and the destination folder listed is not the one you want, click Browse to select a new folder.
  7. Click Import/Create Link.

From Import/Export/Copy Course Components page

  1. Click Import Components.
  2. Click from Learning Object Repository.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Perform a search to find the learning object you want.
  5. Click the retrieve_object Retrieve Object icon for the learning object you want to retrieve.
  6. Click the link in the Content area for the way you want to import the learning object: dynamic link, locked link, or import.
  7. Select a parent module from the drop-down list, or select None.
  8. If you are importing the course files, and the destination folder listed is not the one you want, click Browse to select a new folder.
  9. Click Import/Create Link.

From LOR search page

  1. Perform a search to find the learning object you want.
  2. Click the retrieve_object Retrieve Object icon for the learning object you want to retrieve.
  3. Click the link in the Content area for the way you want to import the learning object: dynamic link, locked link, or import.
  4. Select a parent module from the drop-down list, or select None.
