Evaluating activities in a competency

Activities are the only competency element that are directly evaluated. Users achieve learning objectives and competencies by achieving/passing all the required activities that are associated with them.

Each activity has an achievement threshold, which is the minimum result a person must achieve to pass the activity.

Evaluating a manual assessment activity consists of filling in the associated rubric. Other activities are evaluated based on their own criteria, For example, a quiz is evaluated based on number of questions answered correctly, but a dropbox activity might use a rubric with the criteria Research, Project and Self Evaluation, and the achievement levels Good, Satisfactory and Poor. To evaluate the rubric you assign users an achievement level for each criteria, and if users' overall assessment is above the overall achievement threshold defined for the activity they pass the activity.
